Kwahu South:Two Women Reported Missing After Hunting For Snails In Ankoma Forest

Two women from Ankoma in the Kwahu East District have been reported missing since

yesterday,

The duo, Afia Biako and Abena Owusua left home in the early part of Saturday

morning, 5th October, 2019 to search for snails in the Ankoma forest popularly known as "Sofia".

They left as a group of women and children to search for snails since it rained

on the night prior to Saturday morning, but upon returning home the two were no

where to be found.

The Assemblyman of the community and the Chiefs organised a search for the

missing women on Saturday night around 7pm till 1:00 the next morning but they

couldn't find the women.

These women are said to be in their 50s but their whereabout is currently

unknown.

The forest "Sofia" is a place the people in the community usually go to search

for snail after rainfall.

The leaders of the community is calling on all inhabitants of Ankoma community

and the neighbouring towns to help in the search of these two women.
